Daytona Indonesia made a major breakthrough at the end of 2025. The Japanese spare parts brand officially launched the Daytona YCF GP187 One Make Race (OMR) as a development platform for young Indonesian racers.
This event is specifically aimed at young riders aged 10–16 to help them adapt more quickly to sports racing from an early age. Its debut took place alongside Round 2 of the 2025 Daytona UDRM Independent Cup Race (ICR) at the Gery Mang Circuit in Subang last weekend (October 25–26, 2025). Dozens of young racers participated in the inaugural event.
"This reflected our commitment to the development of racers in Indonesia. This allows them to begin adapting to sports racing from a young age," said Ricky Hariyadi, GM of Marketing and Development at PT Daytona Azia.
Ricky also emphasized that the Daytona YCF GP187 OMR project is not just a one-off event. "This year, we will hold another round. This project will also continue in subsequent years," he added.
Specifically, participants who pass the selection process will only be charged a registration fee of Rp 1,100,000. All motorcycles will be provided directly by Daytona, plus bonus goggles, jerseys, and hats.
As a training event, the race will be held in a two-race format—starting with the FP session, QTT, and then races 1 and 2. This provides participants with a greater opportunity to gain experience riding the Daytona YCF GP187, equipped with the Daytona Anima 190 engine, on the track.
In the first two races yesterday, Muhammad Arkana Ardin performed brilliantly and emerged as the best. The young racer from Bandung is already known as one of the most talented young riders who has frequently achieved success in various national and international racing events.
