The Daytona Anima engine is a racing engine designed and manufactured by Daytona Corporation Japan, a well-known Minimoto and Minisport racing company in Europe and America. For example, Ohvale, the Italian Minisport manufacturer, uses the Daytona Anima 190FSM engine in its Expert class motorcycles in the FIM World MiniGP. Similarly, BBR Motorsport America also uses the Anima engine in its Minimoto SX competition in Las Vegas.
PT. Daytona Azia, a subsidiary of Daytona Corporation, the brand holder and principal in Indonesia, began marketing this engine in Indonesia last year, namely the 150FLX and 190FE models. "Unlike the previous 150FLX and 190FE models, which were intended for street use due to their charging and lighting systems, this October we're introducing the pure racing models, the 160FSM, 190FSM, and 190SYS. These three engine types are equipped with small rotor magnets, allowing the engine to reach high RPMs very easily. However, because the magnets are small, they are not equipped with charging and lighting systems," said Ricky, General Manager of Sales and Products at PT. Daytona Azia.
With 160cc and 190cc displacements, these two engines produce 18 to 23 hp. They are priced around 18 million rupiah. These racing engines are much cheaper than those available in Europe. The 190FSM and 190SYS differ in stroke length and piston diameter. The 190FSM is a square engine with a piston diameter and stroke of 62mm, while the 190SYS is a short-stroke engine with a piston diameter of 66mm and a stroke of 55.5mm.
This engine is PNP and is based on a C-Series frame, such as the CR50, Supra, Monkey, Gorilla, and others. It can also be used as a replacement engine for Ohvale, YCF, and other minisport motorcycles.
